Stacking the Shelves is a feature hosted by Tynga's Reviews. It's a way for us to share the books we received during the week
Vlog (Molly appears twice this week!) :
Mentioned in the vlog:
For review I received Finale by Becca Fitzpatrick.
Via a book swap with the lovely Heidi, I received Fingerprints of You by Kristen-Paige Madonia - I've wanted this ever since I saw the cover and I've also read a great review by Lori.
I purchased After January by Nick Earls after I saw Trish Doller rate it 5 stars on Goodreads. It's been on my to-read list for a while but I realised I needed a copy, STAT! For US/international readers you might be able to find it published as After Summer.
From the library I got a bunch of audio books. Alexa recommended the Mates, Dates series by Cathy Hopkins to me because she knew how much I love the Georgia Nicolson series. I was able to download books 1-3 from one library and then borrowed these cds from another: Mates, Dates and Sleepover Secrets, Mates, Dates and Mad Mistakes, Mates, Dates and Sole Survivors. They are quite fun, not as funny as the Georgia books but very cute and easy to listen to.
I also borrowed Jarvis 24 by David Metzenthen - this is an Aussie book and it was fantastic.
I treated myself to a couple of vegan cookbooks: Artisan Vegan Cheese by Miyoko Schinner and Vegan Eats World by Terry Hope Romero. I can't wait to start using these!
Thanks for dropping by and have a good weekend, everyone :)

the cover for fingerprints of you is quite lovely! i didn't know it had a judy blume quote on the back, how cool. i hope you enjoy your books, mandee. <3
p.s. your chair is so cute!
I bought Finale recently as the Hush Hush series is my guilty pleasure series. I haven't thought about those Cathy Hopkins books in a while but I remember enjoying them too.
Lovely haul, Mandee! Molly looks amazing as always. :)
I usually never watch vlog's but I watched this one and I quite enjoyed it :) I have to admit the appearance of Molly kinda tipped the scales and made me watch. But you do a great job so I'll be checking your vlog again! I'm somewhat curious about the Hush Hush series but also somewhat scared. lol I'll be interested in your review of Finale. And I agree with you the cover for Fingerprints of You is very pretty ♥ I'd never heard of January or the other audio books you've gotten but I hope you enjoy them all! (I'm sure you'll enjoy the cookbooks because that means yummy food haha)
Thanks for sharing and here's my StS

Loved it when you said 'der'. I would've said the same but dragged it out longer ;) I'm pretty keen on After January. I saw and listened to Nick Earls at MWF last year but I don't have any of his books. Might have to remedy that.
I'm going to get stuck into Finale next week. And I do agree that it is not a memorable series. All I remember is the theme park and Nora's anmesia lol
I hope you enjoy your books.

Fingerprints of You is SUCH a gorgeous cover that I want it for that alone!! I'm going to pick up Finale as well. I've enjoyed the series and want to know how it ends as well. I've been listening to the Fever series on audio, I have a 45min-1hour commute to and from work, so it makes me feel more productive to use that time for books. Plus, I can't read anymore than I already do unless I forgo even more sleep. I agree, it's harder to write a review for audio books, you don't have the pages to refer back to for details so I've just listed my short impressions them.
Your kitty loves to be in the middle of things! It's so funny how they always want your attention right when you're trying to accomplish something! Mine tries to lie on whatever book I'm reading. Nice haul Mandee. :)
P.S. Sorry for the novella there! :)
Mandee, your accent is SO LOVELY! :) I am never going to get over Aussie accents, haha.
Hope you love all of your books this week! I haven't read any of them yet but Fingerprints of You always catches my eye with that gorgeous cover :) And wow... yeah, I guess our seasons are reversed, aren't they? I can see why they changed it for the US version LOL... that would have taken me a while to pick up on.
Happy reading!
Awesome haul this week, Mandee! I wasn't impressed with Hush, Hush, so I didn't bother to continue with the series, but I hope the conclusion is satisfying. I used to read the Mates, Dates Series when I was around eleven/twelve, so I remember thoroughly enjoying those since they were are a LOT of fun. I need to check out The Georgia Nicholson Series though! Anyway, like you, I love the cover of Fingerprints of You, so I'm curious to see what you make of it. Incredible haul this week, Mandee, so I hope you enjoy all these! :D
I just bought After January/Summer after seeing Trish's review too! Can't wait to read it! I've heard good things about Vegan Eats World.
Yay to vegans! I'm a vegetarian, but hey, it's close right? ;) Anyhow, I haven't really heard of any of these books but Fingerprints of You has a gorgeous cover and I hope you enjoy all your goodies, Mandee!
Awesome books this week. I agree about the Hush, Hush series. It's not very memorable, but good enough to want to know what happens. Happy Reading!
I'm currently reading Finale and I'm not too impressed. I've really enjoyed the Hush, Hush series so far sand couldn't wait to see how it was all going to end but I'm just having a few problems with it. Eh, I hope it get's better! Fingerprints of You sounds amazing and I can't wait to hear you thoughts on it! Last year I read Joel & Cat Set the Story Straight and had major trouble with it but my interest is definitely piqued after hearing how much Trish enjoyed. Maybe I'll like reading Nick Earls by himself. Hmm, I'm off to look into After January.
I LOVE the Mates, Dates series! I haven't read them in years but I read them years ago in Primary School and had so much fun with them.
Enjoy all your books!
Great book haul. I got Finale too and I've already finished it (not that I was eager or anything hehe). Hope you enjoy the book cause it was my fav in the entire series. :)
Ooohhhh Finale! Can't wait!!! And yummy cookbooks!
My Stack
Oh, I love that Fingerprints of You cover. I've never seen that one before. I'll have to go check out Lori's review.
And I've heard mixed reviews of Finale. Looking forward to your take on it.
I can't wait to read Finale! I have put off buying it because I'm currently on a ban, but it's one of the first books I plan on reading once I'm off it. I love that series!
Books of Amber
Great books this week Mandee! I can't wait to read Finale!<3
ENJOU :D
Amazing books this week, Mandee! I am so excited for Finale & I really will have to get my hands on it soon. Happy reading! :)
Oh, my Fingerprints of You looks amazing! I've never noticed it before, but goodness, that cover is gorgeous. I think I'll wait for your review, and if you like it, I'll go ahead and buy a copy.
Happy reading, Mands!
Aww Molly is so adorable, I think I mentioned this earlier, my sister has to always watch your vlog with me each week not for the books but just in case Molly or one of your other cats makes an appearance. I too didn't enjoy the last book in Fizpatrick's series, but I'll still probably pick up Finale just to see how things will end! I think I may also have to give After January a try too! Hope you enjoy all your books! :)
I have been eyeing the Mates, Dates series for sooo long now! I must read them soon! :)
Molly is so adorable. She's like your little co-host...until she bites you. :) I hope you love Fingerprints as much as I did!
After January sounds like a great book - I'm definitely going to try and track it down here! The cover for Fingerprints of You looks amazing, and that last cookbook looks awesome too! I think I'm going to try some audiobooks for when I'm walking and on the train, for a change, although my library has more books-on-cassette than books-on-cd, and it's a long time since I've had a cassette player. :) Have a good week!
I'm really excited to read Finale, hopefully it is a good end to the series!
Emily @ Falling for YA
I love the cover of Fingerprints of You too. That's why I bought a copy a couple of weeks ago. Although I bought it for Kindle so I guess I really didn't buy it for the cover after all. LOL! Great haul, Mandee. :)
Awesome haul! I am dying to get my hands on Finale. I still need to read Silence and after seeing the book trailer Finale...so need to get caught up!! After January looks really good. Hope you enjoy everything! Happy reading! :D
A wonderful set f books this week Mandee :) I haven't started the Hush Hush series as yet & may hold off until I read your Finale review ;)
Happy reading!
Adorable, as usual, Mandee. Of course we watch to the end! (at least I did!) I've seen that cover of Fingerprints of You but I still don't really know what it's about, hmmm. And seriously, aren't you so glad you gave audiobooks a try? They really let you plow through so many more books. You ought to still review them because some people *cough*allofusatthereadventurer*cough* listen to them all the time and need to know the good ones. The narrator can really make or break it. Jarvis24 has been on my radar since our Aussie Wall of Books. I want to read something of David Metzenthen's.
Nice book haul! I'm going to look into After January. Enjoy!
Way to go with your audiobooks and vegan cookbooks, Mandee! I agree with Flannery - I can get through so many more books when I add audiobooks to the mix. I picked up Fingerprints of you because of Lori's review too, it does look good. After Summer/ January also sounds intriguing. Thanks for the tip!
Have a great week!
LMAOOOO at your rant about cheese. "It's just fat and salt!" What would your French side say?? ;)
I bought After Summer as well but the US cover only shows part of the guy -- and not the good part! Can't wait to read that and Jarvis 24.
Hope Molly stops by again next week!
I've heard such great reviews on Burn Bright! I'd love to read the series!
I've heard such great reviews on Burn Bright! I'd love to read the series!
Another great week I see! This makes both you and Amy who have been really into the audiobook scene. I've thought a lot about trying one out but I feel like I can't concentrate while listening as well as reading.
Fingerprints of You. That cover... the... OK, would it be bad to buy a book ENTIRELY because of the cover? Maybe just a little? Because I'm kind o crazy in love :O
And... OK, maybe I feel the same way about Vegan Eats World :D
I'm absolutely IN LOVE with that cover for Finger Prints of You. That would look lovely on my bookshelf.
The important things, you know.
I'm still not completely sold on audiobooks but I'm really glad you've been convinced.
Happy reading, Mandee!
Why or why are the Nick Earls books not available as an eBook? :( I think my apartment is going to cave in if I buy another physical book. It's that bad. But I saw Trish's review of that too + I adore the cover of the edition you bought. I could use some blue skies and warm weather right now.
Hope you are having a great week! :) xo
Ack, audiobooks drive my patience up the wall otherwise I might see the excellent logic in them. But, sadly that is not the case for me. And now I want to read After Summer. As if I don't already have PLENTY of books to be reading... Gr...
Yay! I'm so glad that FoY made it there safely. Sorry I'm literally A WEEK behind at this point, but I'm afraid with the storm I'm just now getting to go through my reader. Thank you so much for swapping with me, I LOVE the cover of Saltwater Vampires, it's super creepy. Can't wait to read it!
