Stacking the Shelves is a feature hosted by Tynga's Reviews - it's a way for us share the books we received during the week.
Vlog:
Mentioned in the vlog:
For review I received The Lost Prince by Julie Kagawa - I haven't read any of Julie's books but I plan on starting The Iron Fey series as Shaheen was kind enough to send me book one a couple of months ago.
I'm about to do a book swap with Laura and Sarah and when Laura asked for a book that I hadn't heard of, Against the Tide by Irini Savvides, I decided to get myself a copy as well. Want it? Buy it cheap here!
I read Maggie's review of The Year Nick McGowan Came To Stay by Rebecca Sparrow and I went straight to the library and borrowed a copy - can't wait to read it!
Aussie author Emma Cameron sent me a very cute card as well as a signed book sticker to put in my copy of Cinnamon Rain (my review is here) - thank you, Emma! She also let me know that Cinnamon Rain will be published next year in the USA by Candlewick Press under the name Out of This Place - hooray! I am so excited because it's a gorgeous book that deserves more attention. I hope if any of you get the chance, you will read it when it's published in 2013!
A couple of months ago we got a new tablet and I purchased a few books for it: The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa and two Aussie books, Eleven Seasons by Paul D. Carter and Jasper Jones by Craig Silvey.
Thanks for dropping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Oooh, The Lost Prince. And The Immortal Rules. I loved the Immortal Rules so I hope you do too!
Great haul and happy reading.
Lovely books this week. So many I haven't heard of. So exciting that Cinnamon Rain is going to be published in the States :) Can't believe you haven't read Iron Fey series yet. I have only read the first two, but I really liked them. Happy Reading!
enjoy all
I LOVED The Immortal Rules! I've been dying to start The Lost Prince! Hope you enjoy them!
My Stack
I read The Immortal Rules, and wasn't knocked over, but I've heard that I will feel knocked over from the Iron Fae books! So I can't wait to see what you think of them! (And your review of The Lost Prince too!!)
-Jac @ For Love and Books
Whoo amazing haul this week! I plan on reading The Lost Prince soon. Hopefully you'll enjoy it and Julie's Iron Fey series. The Immortal Rules has seriously been sitting on my shelf since it came out. >.< Hopefully I'll have time to read it soon.
And I'm so glad to hear an Aussie author's book is gonna be coming out in the US! xD
Happy reading ^__^
My Haul
Lovely haul, Mandee. I'm not always into vampire stories, but TIR is one that I loved. I thought The Lost Prince was pretty good but didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. The other titles all sounds so interesting. Look forward to your reviews :)
Yes, definitely get on the Iron Fey series!! The Iron King wasn't my favourite, but they get so much better from there. Hope you enjoy them all :)
Tara @ Hobbitsies
Great haul! I've only read the first book in the Iron Fey series so I'm a bit behind. I've heard all the books are really good though. I liked the first one but it wasn't anything that made me want to read the next book right away. Lots of people are really excited about The Lost Prince though! I haven't heard of any of the other books but they all sound really good! :D
Such a wonderful haul this week, Mandee! I'm very excited to read Jasper Jones myself as it's available in the US and I am SO HAPPY that Cinnamon Rain is soon being released in the US as well! :D I'll have to pre-order a copy the moment it becomes available, so thanks for sharing that wonderful piece of news! :D
I'm very curious to see what you think of Against the Tide and Eleven Seasons...I have a sneaking suspicion that I will need to add them to the list of Aussie books I need to buy, but I hope you enjoy those! Kagawa's Immortal Rules is my favorite of all her work since I wasn't a big fan of The Iron Fey Series, so I hope you enjoy all her books, Mandee! I can't wait to see what you think of all of them, so happy reading dear! :D
*drools over your gorgeous tablet*
I'm the opposite of most other readers - I enjoyed The Immortal Rules, but I much preferred The Iron Fey series. Ditto with The Lost Prince. I AM still a fan of all her books though. Very curious to see what you think of them!
What's this? An Aussie novel Mandee has NOT heard of?! Never did I think I'd see the day :P You are the Queen of Aussie YA! And make me feel much more cultured knowing of these local books :)
Also, that is brilliant news about Cinammon Rain!! Fantastic haul of books this week, hope they all dazzle you :)
Watched the vlog - no kitties today?
The Tablet is awesome, mine is the Galaxy Tab, it's 10.1 inches, and yours looks so small and cute!! (Though I love mine so I shouldn't complain).
Books! YAY for The Lost Prince *dances* I can't wait to read this sometime next week! As you know, I don't read much contemp, BUT The Year Nick McGowan Came To Stay looks awesome. It may have to be borrowed from the library!
Thanks for sharing, and mentioning me <3

Come and check out my new weekly book haul feature, Stocktake Saturday.
Can’t wait to get around to my copy of to The Lost Prince. I looooove the Iron Fey books, but sadly I didn’t feel the same about The Immortal Rules and I didn’t feel like reviewing it at all. Heh!
As for Jasper Jones and Eleven Season.. I have them both but I still need to get to them. Have heard such amazing things about JJ.
Hope you enjoy them all :D
*happy dance* Cinnamon Rain (ahem.. Out of this Place) will be published in North America next year?? Yes, yes, yes, so excited! I've been wanting to read that book forever but I'm sort of broke now and have to stop going on book sprees at Fishpond. :/ Anyway, great haul! I hope you enjoy your goodies!
Great selections! I plan on buying the Iron Fey boxset which comes out on Tuesday. I've been dying to start it (everyone seems to love it) but I wanted to wait till I get "more for less". Plus, I have a feeling I'll love book one and immediately want the ones to follow. Haha.
A wonderful haul Mandee! I love The Iron Fey series, I'm not a huge fantasy fan but I was hooked on them. The Immortal Rules was also great :)
I will have to check out the Aussie books you mentioned.
I hope you have had a great weekend!
Yours is the only vlog I actually watch, but that's a secret, please don't tell anyone. :) I ended up liking the Iron Fey series, but give it time, don't give up after book 1. I'm curious about the spin-off!
Happy reading, darling!
Awesome haul. I have The Lost Prince too, I haven't got around to reading it yet but look forward to it. Enjoy all your books :)
My Stack
Brilliant haul, Mandee! The Lost Prince has been getting some great reviews already so I hope you enjoy it. It's up soon for me too and I can hardly wait. Also, I agree with Maja - you will need to be patient with the Iron Fey books. They get better! :)
I really need to start the Iron Fey series too! Hope you love it!
Thanks for stopping by My Added to the Bookshelf Post!

I love the Iron Fey Series! I can't wait to see what you think of it. I'm really excited to start The Lost Prince soon. I hope you enjoy all the books!
I am fist pumping ALL OVER The Lost Prince. ALL OVER IT. I have it on my Nook and need to read it like NOW.
ALSO.... I see a cat. I'm never gonna not comment on the cat, you guys.
Oh yay! Yeah, I love having my Kindle for those reasons, it's just so nice to be able to go on vacation and just bring that along rather than a whole stack of books. I'd actually never heard of Jasper Jones until this week, but Nomes just mentioned it as well! So I'm excited to see your thoughts on that. =)
Can I just say I totally misread Cinnamon Rain as Chocolate Rain and now that song is stuck in my head. :( lol gee thanks.
I really want to start the Iron Fey series. I've heard such wonderful things about it!
:) Enjoy!
What I got this week!
You know I adored Cinnamon Rain, so I'm thrilled Candlewick will be publishing it here. I'm hoping they don't Americanize it too much (like they did a bit with Graffiti Moon), because the Aussie-ness is part of why I liked it so much.
OMG the kitten card!! so cute! i'm jealous of the Lost Prince!
I have a copy of The Lost Prince from netgalley I have got to read, I really enjoyed the Iron Fey series and hope you do too! Also that is a crazy good deal for Against The Tides I might just have to buy me a copy!
I love Kagawa, hope you love her too.
Brandi from Blkosiner’s Book Blog
Ooooh, I got Lost Prince this week too... but I haven't read anything else in the series. Looks like I'll have to fix :)
I'm a huge Rebecca Sparrow fan - I used to love reading her column in the newspaper and I met her a few times... once was on a train whilst I was reading one of her books... it was the strangest coincidence but now I have an autographed copy :D
I feel like I'm missing out never having read the Iron Fey series. I see so much praise all over the place for it...
Great haul, I hope you enjoy all these pretties. I'm like you, I haven't yet had the pleasure of reading any of Julie's books yet but I would love The Lost Prince! :)
I may have to pick up Against the Tide- I love verse novels! And thanks for sharing the good news about Cinnamon Rain coming to the US. Enjoy all your new reads!
I have The Lost Prince as well, I hope I like it a little better than The Iron Fey series. It was good but not amazing IMO. Glad to hear we're going to get an Aussie release out here with Cinnamon Rain. I'll have to check out your review, but I love most Aussie books I've read. Nice haul Mandee. :)
I'm so excited Cinnamon Rain is being released in the States! And by Candlewick no less -- Melina's publisher (at least for Finnikin). :) Eleven Seasons looks really good too. Can't wait to hear what you think. Nick McGowan ❤
I LOVE the idea of a book swap!
I've never read any Julie Kagawa myself but I so plan to! Also, Against the Tide looks great!
Here's my Book Haul post.
Sana @ artsy musings of a bibliophile
I think I may be the last person on earth to still not have read Julie Kagawa. I so need to start! Thanks for stopping by my STS:)
yay! The Lost Prince. I am reading The Iron Knight and The Lost Prince this week. I think these books get better and better int his series. So hope you like them!! I love Ash , everybody loves Ash * sprinkles faerie dust in the air)
