In My Mailbox is hosted by The Story Siren! It's a way for us to share the books we borrowed, received or purchased during the week.
I had a really fantastic week, I attended Lauren Oliver's event at The Children's Bookshop. Lauren was eloquent, funny and very fun to listen to and she was great to talk to as well, I even found out that her sister is vegan, woo! I took along my copies of Before I Fall and Pandemonium and I purchased a copy of Delirium there and got all three signed plus two books for Kim.
The venue was fantastic, I'd never heard of The Children's Bookshop before the event and I will definitely be returning, their wall of YA books was amazing and I had to stop myself from buying a dozen other books. And I got to meet two lovely ladies, Sarah and Kat, it was great to finally meet and hang out with them both :)
I got my copy of Pandemonium a couple of weeks ago in an order from Angus and Robertson when they had a 25% off sale. I also got a few Aussie YA books: A Pocketful of Eyes by Lili Wilkinson, Five Parts Dead by Tim Pegler and Finnikin of the Rock by Melina Marchetta because I read a library copy of Finnikin and needed my own.
For review I received Night Beach by Kirsty Eagar - I have been looking forward to this since I finished Saltwater Vampires and I read it this morning, so my review will be up a little closer to the release date (April 26, 2012).
A couple of weeks ago I ordered a copy of Michelle Zink's new book, A Temptation of Angels and I took her up on her offer to mail out a signed book plate, both arrived this week and she included a bookmark. It's been a long time since I bought a hardback and this one is just gorgeous.
And then I received lots of books from some wonderful bloggers! First up, I won Brodie's giveaway for the Nightshade triolgy by Andrea Cremer - many thanks to Brodie & Hachette!
Then I received two more books from Sash as part of our bookswap, Please Ignore Vera Dietz by A.S King and The Disenchantments by Nina LaCour both hardbacks too, Sash you are too kind ;)
Then two bloggers offered to send me extra copies of books they have that I haven't read! Celine sent me Hunting Lila and Fated by Sarah Alderson plus a book mark and Shirley sent me Slide by Jill Hathaway plus some post-its.. I've read such good things about these books and I was so surprised & appreciative when Celine and Shirley offered them to me - <3 you girls!
And that's it for me this week! I hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend, so far I've spent mine swimming and lying in the sun reading.

WHAT AN EPIC MAILBOX, Mandee! ♥ SO many awesome books to read. And yay! I'm glad Hunting Lila and Fated arrived safely! Hope you enjoy it! What a coincidence that I sent you the Slide bookmark and you got a copy of Slide too from the FABULOUS Shirley! You can now use the bookmark with your copy of Slide! ;)
So glad that you've won the whole Nightshade trilogy from Brodie's giveaway! IT'S ONE AWESOME TRILOGY and I HOPE YOU'LL LOVE IT as much as I do!
Awesome awesome IMM this week, Mandee! ♥ Happy Easter and Happy Reading! :) ♥
Aw, you had an awesome couple of weeks for books.
I can’t thank you enough for getting my books signed the other day. I will thank you better in person when we get the chance to catch up soon.
Yay for Hunting Lila! And A Temptation of Angels looks amazing, can’t wait to hear what you think of it.

Amazing mailbox, Mandee. Night Beach!! I can't wait til you get something from California in your mailbox soon. ;) -M
I met Lauren Oliver here in Melbourne and I can't get over how nice she was to chat to! (I really like her signature, too.) Also wanted to say that I love your blog name – I never realised there were so many fellow vegan book bloggers!
Yeah, so, I'm jealous of your haul this week. :) The covers of Andrea Cremer's books are awesome. I love the cover for Night Beach--it's so creepy, which is what I'm in the mood for right now. And signed Lauren Oliver books? I wish I had some!
Yowza, your mailbox was amazing this week. And you got to see Lauren Oliver and meet some bookish people! Geez, you are lucky:) That three-book series of Andrea Cremer looks so lovely together. And I'm happy you got Please Ignore Vera Dietz--I really like that one. Seeing Pocketful of Eyes just made me want Love-Shy even more:) What a seriously sweet mail week for you, Mandee.
Woohoo - what an epic week - meeting Lauren Oliver must have been so awesome!
All those great Aussie reads. Especially Night Beach. I want it sooo bad. I will find a way to get a copy. Awesome, IMM!
WOW! So many awesome books here! Love that cover for Slide. I love getting signed books too so I am very jealous of all the signing action going on here :-P

Hey! So many awesome books, especially your own copy of Finnikin *yay*. So I really want to read Slide too, it just sounds so good. I've already talked to you about Night Beach, I'll read Saltwater Vampires first and then rip into it. Congrats on winning those books :-)

I have to echo all the comments mentioned above, you do have an amazing loot here. I haven't read any Lauren Oliver books yet, but I heard that they're pretty great. Among all the other titles you have here, this one caught my eye: Please Ignore Vera Dietz by A.S King - I'm always on the lookout for award-winning books, and this seems right up my alley. Have fun with your new lovelies!
Here's mine over at GatheringBooks:

I am so jealous you got to meet Lauren Oliver! :D I love her books and would love to meet her myself one day. It's so cool you have signed copies!
I'm really looking forward to hearing what you think of Night Beach. It sounds like my type of book! :)
That is such an awesome set of books this week! especially the Aussie books I still have to read all of them! I also can't wait to read Please ignore Vera or The Disenchantments! And Sarah Alderson is one of my favourite authors so I can't wait to find out how you get on with them! Happy reading! :)
Ohhh! Look at those wonderful signed copies! I love meeting authors and having autographed copies! Excited for you!
Fantastic book haul! Totally jealous that you got signed copies of Lauren Oliver's books . . . was meant to go to her book signing but didn't end up going. Anyway, hope you enjoy A Temptation of Angels. I finished it the other day and it was a pretty good read.
YAY for the Lauren Oliver signed boooooks! *jealous* Haha
And as for Finnikin of the Rock - I almost bought it on Friday. Almost. I have Froi of the Exiles as an ARC, but haven't read Finnikin yet. That should change soon. Haha
:) xoxo
Wow congrats on all the signed books this week. You certainly got a lot of cool stuff this week. I've seen the Temptation book all over the place but I still have no clue what the book is about other than I'm assuming angels. I really need to look up the synopsis
Those covers of the Nightshade Trilogy are absolutely GORGEOUS! They almost make me want to read the series, lol. The ones here kind of verge on hideous.
Glad you had fun at the signing! I've never read anything by Lauren Oliver *buries head in shame* but I hope to get to Before I Fall soon.
Enjoy your new books!
What a fabulous mailbox week! Sounds like the signing was a lot of fun :) I'll be interested to see what you think of Hunting Lila, I've heard lots of good things about it. Enjoy your books!
Such a great haul! I'm envious of all the Lauren Oliver signed books. That, and swag from A Temptation of Angels, too! Lucky! I've been looking at The Disenchantments this week, and I'm happy I saw it in your IMM - can't wait to see what you think of it. Happy reading!

Oh, I just LOVE Lauren Oliver. I think I've met her 3 or 4 times and she's been kind and gracious and brilliant every single time. And okay, reading that over, I sound like an author stalker but f'realz.
Also? Your IMM? Total explosion of awesome.
